Not much new on the south pacific front. Went to Catpower last weekend. No doubt about it, she's loco. All the usual things that concertgoers have come to expect from Miss Marshall were evident, i.e., stopping a song or two midway through due to some technical annoyance, speaking to the audience a thick, faux french accent; excessively, compulsively playing with her hair (and covering her face with it); etc. To add the laughter, I had an obstructed view from this couple who snuck in front of me seconds before the show started. Excessive amounts of PDA was present. Behind me, there were a few tasmanian lesbians who thought that all of chans comments were directed specifically at them, and their *YAAYH*s sounded eerily similar to something on Crank Yankers. The show ended shortly after chan entered the crowd and sang while lying down in the crowd. So ended evening of hilarity. Oh, and I've got some pics as well.

In other band news, my jaw dropped when I picked up the latest issue of Time and found Spoon praised in it.
